Long Night

A new year always brings plenty of changes when you are involved with a professional cycling team.

Contracts expire at midnight of the old year and new riders come on board at the same time. In the case of the BMC Racing Team, that meant nine riders leaving and eight new ones arriving.

I started working on the photos and other aspects of changing the website at 10:30 p.m. I watched the New Year's Eve countdown on CNN, which repeated a couple times. And then a bowl game that was shortened "due to time constraints." Time went by quickly, but by 6:20 a.m., when I was finished, I was exhausted.

What did I learn from watching Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin on CNN? Well, Dick Clark is still dead. And Anderson Cooper knows nothing about sports. Nothing!

These two have been partnering together on New Year's Eve for at least five years now.
